Awhile back i read something in my school's newspaper and it made me upset. they were calling country music "old men whining" about there problems. Well i have some news to tell you buddy. Country music has been apart of my life as long as i can remember and it has soul to it. unlike your pop crap music (no offense i do like a little pop) that's about s.. and other !@$% and your calling my music crap? Country music has been around longer than pop has. Now my parent's just love the older country and so do i and there was this one song called "Old Violin" by Johnny Paycheck. Basically its about how old country music is slowly disappearing and soon the singers records will be put away like an old violin and never to be played again. That just makes me sad because i grew up listening to old country music and i love it so much and there's more to old country than just "old men whining".

Thank you! I agree wholeheartedly. Country music is beautiful and should be cherished. I listen to it a lot - even if I dont have it on my playlists at the moment [youtube is wonderful]. I feel the youth dont understand because they've only grow up with what is acceptable and 'cool'. I am not saying I dont like pop music - I do but to an extent. Country is deep and meaningful - not just whining - there is songs about love, lost love, hate, pain, people even. Rock has gone down hill too. No such thing as ACDC for some kids these days - rock is now alternative rock, which if you do it right is good.

People are so different in tastes but music is going down hill and turning these kids into little brats and other things I should not put on the internet. I'd rather listen to a country song then that stupid song about whips and chains.
